Train Driver is our first app on Google Play. It's a joint project with :iconraksha-the-khajiit:. It can be found here: [link] We also have a video of the tutorial ride on youtube: [link] We also have a blog here: [link] It's a first person train simulator and we'd like to get as much feedback as possible

ALERT: We are currently experiencing issues with Google Wallet and Google play. They be cancellin' peoples orders with no explanation. We hope to rectify this soon, and will also post it on other App stores :)

Very reminiscent of good ol' 1997 "Mechanik" for DOS :D
By the way, I see you're from New Zealand, but signals, catenary poles and such are essentialy Polish.

Yep, the signs are all Polish, because my partner is Polish. He helped develop a Train simulator for PCs several years ago, I'll find a link somewhere. I'll ask him when he gets up. He was annoyed that there wer no apps is 1st person for Android, so we built one. Eventually we will do some localisations, starting from New Zealand. I see you are from Poland also. If you don't mind me asking, where abouts? He is from Poznań. We know a couple on town who originally came from Wrocław.

Ah, these are the times when I wish I had a more up-to-date telecommunications device. It looks good, I'll be sure to tip a few of my friends off to it.

Nice :)
The Scenery looks like something made on Google Sketchup.

Hehe, it is a gaming app :) It works and everything, this is more a promotional picture trying to advertise it ;) I did a lot of the textures in Photoshop, and so far all the models are done in code. We'll be looking at implementing externally created meshes in the future. Yep, I plan do to a proper video game design paper in the summer school, and for now, I'll carry on making new stuff for Train Driver. Do you have an Android phone? If so, PM me :) We could use another tester ;)

And yep, I do plan on making more apps in the future. We're looking at starting our own app dev company (We have no dedicated service for this in Dunedin, currently it's all work of mouth).

I don't have any Phone at all actually :P

I could be wrong but don't Gaming apps usually use Flash files / .Swf?
While I'm most likely under-thinking it, I could probably help by making requested Flash animations to be imported into it :)

I too want to start making Small games soon, but I have limited knowledge on how to make Flash files work with the Coding program I'm limited to "Small Basic" :|

I'll look forward to your future stuff though :)

Hehe, no worries. I think you're thinking more of Facebook Apps and the like. Yeah, those would be made in Flash, Silverlight or JavaScript, with a large programming component. However, Flash is becoming less common these days (it's market penetration is dropping every year, currently ~19%, and my university is not even going to bother teaching it next year). Keep at it though, and if you need to pick up something new, those skills will help a lot.

This one though, is written entirely in Java with Android specific components. I still consider myself a noob when it comes to programming, but I know enough about both programming and design (my artistic side) to be able to do the stuff that Raksha would find more difficult and time consuming, modelling and texturing in code.

I'm not sure how developed your programming skills are. I started out with Python in class last year, and have been doing Java since last July. I could point you to some tutorials if you'd like :)
